Brothers Much?!

The other day, I had Cooper in a hand-me-down shirt (as usual) and realized as he was climbing down the stairs, that I had taken pictures of Ben in that exact spot two years earlier at the EXACT same age - 19 months!

So. . . . who's who?!

A date with my big boy!

A few weeks ago, Ben and I took the day to ourselves (Cooper stayed home with a sitter) and headed up to Sioux Falls to do some exploring.  We had never been to the Kirby Science Center in downtown so we thought we would see what all the hype was about.

We had lots of fun exploring the three levels of activities especially for kids Ben's age (read : hands-on!) His favorite was the "TV Station" where he pretended to be a cameraman and then gave us the weather report.

I always forget how much fun we can have when it's just the two of us.  And of course, we were having so much fun, I never did get a picture of the two of us! 

To finish off the day, we ate lunch at a fun diner and then explored our new favorite toy store...and found the old-fashioned Car Bingo cards that we will take on our family vacation! The only way the day could have been any better is if Ben had taken a nap on the way home...oh well!

A Big Milestone

With Ben's 4th birthday fast approaching (oh my!) we thought we better get him used to riding a bike with training wheels.  We figured if that's what he happens to get for his birthday (wink, wink) he would be more excited about it.  So we borrowed one from a friend and now he can't get enough!

It's hard to believe we have a kid big enough to be getting a bike but I guess it had to happen sometime!

Water Boys

I've been struggling lately with what to blog about.  I haven't had any great eye-opening experiences. We haven't had a family vacation yet this summer. And no one wants to hear about how cranky Cooper has been now that his one-year molars are coming in and causing all sorts of discomfort.

So today, I thought I'd just post a few pictures of my water boys and tell you how much they LOVE going to the pool!  So much, that I feel extremely guilty that we've only been to the public pool once this summer(luckily we have some friends and neighbors with pools) but are hoping to get back later this week and next!

Ben has always loved the water and even though it took him awhile to warm up to the idea of swimming around by himself again, we now have to quickly get the life vest on him before he gets in!

Always a little leary. . .

And Cooper was apparently a fish in another life because I constantly struggle to keep him in my grasp while in the pool.  He clearly wants to swim off all on his own, not quite aware of the fact that he will sink like a rock if we let him go!

If big brother does it, you better believe Cooper has to try!

So for now, I'll just keep a VERY close eye on both of them and be thankful that they like the pool . . . because this momma definitely needs some more sun!!!
